An Integrated Approach to Security
Historically, enterprise and carrier network security has been fragmented with myriad pin-point solutions for each of the multiple security threats they face. Security executives are constantly under pressure to invest in new products to address emerging security threats, resulting in a continuing point-solution overload that increases complexity as well as maintenance costs. The use of multiple point-security products also introduces unacceptable latency and performance degradation as the same packet is processed multiple times by several security devices or applications. This creates performance issues, especially for time-sensitive applications such as VoIP and XoIP.
